Lutz Diaphragm Pumps
The new series of our double diaphragm pumps combines the characteristics of the previous model with new technical features. From the automotive industry and the waste water sector, to the transfer of chemicals such as acids, alkalis, alcohols and solvents, to the feeding of large plants. But the pumps also reliably solve the tasks in the food sector and when pumping thin-bodied and viscous liquids.

Small quantities
The safety of people and the environement is of particular importance when filling or transferring chemicals, acids and alkalis. Especially when filling small qunatities, the exact quantity plays an essential role in the laboratory area.
Explosion protection
Our specially selected products are adapted to the ATEX directives and enable explosion protection for flammable and highly flammable fluids when used in ATEX zone 1.
Large-scale industry & plant feeding
Robust and resistant pumps offer the ideal solution for the use of high fluid quantities and are capable of meeting requirements in the higher viscosity range.

Optimised air control valve
Encreases the efficiency of the pump and reduces the air consumption (depending on the operating point)
TFM diaphragm
Modified PTFE with refined molecular structure for improved safety and reliability.
Self-priming
If the suction joint is above the liquid level, the pump must prime the liquid itself. The air-operated diaphragm pumps can suck in up to 4.5 m WC themselves when running dry. With the suction line filled, a suction head of up to 9 m WC can be achieved.
Immersed mode of operation
Pumps of sizes 1 1/2" and 2" can be immersed in liquids and operated there, provided the pump material is sufficiently resistant and the air outlet is above the liquid level.
Stationary or mobile installation
The pumps can either be installed in a stationary position or, depending on requirements, transported to different locations to empty liquids from different containers
Flooded suction
If the liquid level is above the suction inlet, this is considered a positive inflow. If the maximum inlet pressure is exceeded, the suction line must be equipped with appropriate shut-off valves..
Hanging construction
For special process requirements, the pump can also be installed in a hanging position.
Elastomer diaphragms
Use of rubber compounds with embedded nylon fabric to increase mechanical strength and pump life. The most common elastomers are based on nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR).
Flow-optimised hydraulic
Enables higher flow rates due to lower internal pressure losses of the air-operated diaphragm pump.

Function of our air-operated diaphragm pump:
The overpressure created in chamber (A) closes the suction valve and opens the pressure valve so that the liquid enters the pressure line. At the same time, the same process takes place in reverse order in the negative pressure area of chamber (B). The pressure valve closes and the suction valve opens so that the liquid can flow in on the suction side.
Accessories
Special vibration dampers are available to absorb vibrations. Suction lances for various containers and mobile applications are also available as accessories.
